Give Light, the philanthropic campaign for Baylor's future, advances the University's R1/Tier 1 pursuits through endowed funds that will facilitate research growth across campus.

Baylor is hiring 100 new faculty over the next five years, including more than 20 endowed chairs in areas that support growth in research initiatives, Baylor supports high-level teaching and discovery.

In 2018, Baylor announced plans to pursue R1 research recognition. Sustained investment and focus has led to significant research metric growth with Baylor gaining R1 status in 2021.
